Study materials

Edutizer allows teacher to create courses that consist of lessons and units. Each course can contain unlimited number of lessons, each lesson can contain unlimited number of units and related tests, and each unit contains unlimited number of links. Edutizer does not allow editing and creating the actual study texts, it just holds links to the text and multimedia documents that can reside anywhere on the Internet. Edutizer does not limit the type of content that can be linked into units. Units and lessons can also be links to study documents; in that case they cannot be further structured.

Study courses can contain any kind of document: HTML, Word, PDF, graphics, audio and video, standalone applications, any document on the Internet can be linked into a course.
Test questions

Edutizer allows teacher to create six types of test questions, that can be used as in practice so in exam tests:

  • Questions with single correct answer
  • Questions with multiple correct answers
  • “Fill the blanks” type of questions
  • Questions with numerical answers
  • Questions with free-form answer.

In a multilevel question, the next question is presented to the student only if he or she answers the first one correctly. Multilevel question maximum depth is 32.

Numerical and “fill the blanks” questions can be multipart questions, implying that student has to answer simultaneously to many questions, e.g. calculate two or more numerical values. Each part of the question is treated equally and partial points are awarded if student gives a partially correct answer. All questions are rendered to the student so that the student understands what type of question it is.

Practice tests

Edutizer supports two types of practice tests: test created by teacher, that can be included into lessons and thus made part of the curriculum and student created practice tests that contain 10 or less questions for the same topic. The student created tests are especially useful for students preparing for an exam or evaluation test on a specific topic and who want to practice specific topic of the curriculum. Teacher created tests are divided into sections, each section can contain either questions from one specific topic or from any topic in the environment.

Parts of the test may be assigned minimal positive result, which entitles the user to continue test. Based on this feature, skills certification tests can be built.
